MARCO RUBINO: ARTIST STATEMENT
For Marco Rubino, Art is the connection between the unexpressed and the expressed, between the human microenvironment as subjective human reality and Nature or Earth as an absolute reality, whether effectively present and expressed or represented in abstract. Today we are mostly urban people. In Art, Marco strives to reconcile this conflicting interaction between humans in their immediate environments and communities and Nature, by becoming one with them as an integral part of the global environment.
Marco uses steel, sometimes combined with wood, stones, and other materials, to express Nature’s harmonious dynamic with the fluidity of metal shapes, intertwining steel bars, rods and sheet metal. This approach gives Marco’s compositions a natural, organic, and balanced fluidity with an Italian flavor.
